Offer Description

In the context of the energy transition and increasing urbanization, the development of underground infrastructures, particularly network lines (electricity, gas, etc.), raises concerns about their effects on sensitive ecosystems, particularly wetlands, which play a major role in the water cycle, climate regulation, and biodiversity conservation. As part of an interdisciplinary research project, we aim to assess the ecological effects of installing underground network lines (electricity, gas, etc.) in these environments, with a particular focus on biodiversity (fauna, flora, macroinvertebrates) associated with soil structure, dynamics, and hydromorphic conditions.

Definition of research activities and tasks to be accomplished:

  • Contribute to the development of biodiversity assessment protocols
  • Organize and carry out field measurement campaigns
  • Analyze the response of plant communities to these disturbances
  • Explore the consequences on the local trophic network
  • Disseminate results through scientific publications, reports, and communication
  • Excellent knowledge of wetland ecosystems and their functioning
  • Strong interest in biotic interactions and the trophic network
  • Knowledge of pedology and/or hydrology is a plus
  • Fieldwork experience and ecological data statistical analysis
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate in an interdisciplinary setting
