St. Cloud VA Health Care System is seeking a Medical Director for the Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community (MH ICC). The individual should be a licensed Psychiatrist with broad experience in general medicine and in psychiatry. The incumbent functions as Medical Director of the MH ICC providing medical leadership and guidance to a very large multidisciplinary staffing group.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program.

Duties

The Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community (MH ICC) Medical Director conducts diagnostic and therapeutic interventions on an outpatient and/or inpatient basis for a wide age range of mental health patients within the MH ICC. Additional duties include providing coverage on the Acute Mental Health Unit (15 beds) and consultation to various CBOC's, outpatient clinics, and the residential rehabilitation treatment program. The incumbent is proficient with programming and evidence-based practices in Psychiatry and Mental Health.

The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative supervision to all Psychiatrists assigned to the MH ICC and health care system. Clinical duties comprise approximately 70% of the time and include direct patient care within Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community, covering the Acute Mental Health Unit, MHRRTP, and outpatient settings.
