Location: Flexible (Paris - Issy-les-Moulineaux). This role offers the flexibility to work from home within proximity to an office location.

The Role

The People Operations Specialist is highly engaged able to handle on-going operational needs and do a deep dive into specialized projects.

You will be responsible for People Team initiatives to address organizational needs and development of relevant guidelines for the organization. You will work closely with Business Partners and business leaders to facilitate on-site support.

This is a fixed-term contract from January 2026 to October 2026.

What You Will Do
  • Process employee hiring and status changes including org changes manager changes salary changes transfers promotions and terminations.
  • Manage employee time off leave and mobility requests.
  • Work with the People Systems team to test configuration of People Operations business processes and provide location-specific feedback.
  • Lead New Hire Orientation and onboarding events both virtually and in the Paris office.
  • Work cross functionally with recruiting IT WPS payroll and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding and off-boarding of employees.
  • Responsible for management of employment documents document storage and employee file compliance on-site.
  • Develop and maintain processes procedures internal policies and country-specific guidelines and documents requirements.
  • Manage the local training plan and budget.
  • Answer employment questions and provide guidance to employees escape as needed to HRBP.
  • Responsible for administrative processes including managing legal contract reviews creating POs and submitting invoices and ordering supplies.
  • Coordinate and assist with company-wide programs and internal projects.
  • Partner with GoPro Payroll team on location specific monthly payroll related processes and requests. Including management of employee vacation balances reporting for lunch and transportation vouchers and travel days.
  • Manage local employee benefits packages. Partner with vendors benefits brokers and Payroll team to update employee information and process benefits transactions.
  • Partner with the Benefits team to send out location-specific communications and lead on Employees for a Cause programming and events all in alignment with GoPro brand and messaging.

  • 2-5 years previous Human Resources experience in a complex fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles.
  • Essential technical skills : Excel Word Powerpoint. Experience with an HRIS preferred but not crucial.
  • Ability to gracefully handle competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding follow through self directed and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor with a high regard for confidentiality.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to make updates and changes as needed to intranet and documentation.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to make judgment calls.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with remote leadership.
  • Open to give and receive feedback.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships within all levels of an organization.
