What were looking for

As a Marine Equipment & Components Surveyor with Lloyds Register you will join our experienced team in France supporting clients across the marine and offshore manufacturing sectors. You will apply your engineering expertise to assess and confirm the quality of marine materials equipment and components during their manufacturing process. This is a client-facing technically focused role where youll contribute directly to safety and compliance across the industry.

The role

Conduct inspections and surveys of mechanical or electrical parts and components used in the maritime and industrial sectors at manufacturers facilities.

Follow up on manufacturing processes and witness tests and inspections in line with Lloyds Register Rules relevant Codes and Standards.

Produce deliverables to agreed time budget and quality standards and discuss results with clients.

Provide technical advice and ensure all work complies with internal procedures accreditation schemes legislation and industry standards.

Support service delivery improvement by communicating client feedback and technical insights.

Maintain required authorisations and complete routine administrative tasks as needed.

Demonstrate a proactive commitment to health safety and quality in all activities.

What you bring

A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a marine or nautical institution with relevant sea-going or industry experience.

At least 2 years of relevant professional experience ideally within a multinational organisation or a classification society.

Knowledge of manufacturing inspection processes quality assurance and marine / offshore equipment standards.

Membership of a relevant professional institution ( or equivalent) and working towards or holding Chartered / Incorporated Engineer status.

Strong understanding of engineering principles root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.

Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); fluency in French is a strong advantage.

A valid European driving licence and willingness to travel within the region as required.
