Role overview
We are seeking an outstanding compliance professional to join our fast-growing team as the Manager of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this role will oversee Compliance operations for the FIU and drive regulatory adherence, efficiency, and operational excellence in a fast-evolving crypto environment.

What you will do

  • Oversee the implementation of FIU day-to-day processes, ensuring full adherence to regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Maintain KPIs to measure the effectiveness of compliance operations (e.g., alert volumes, false positives, investigation times); use data-driven insights to drive decisions.
  • Develop and deliver dashboards and reports to senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and scale operational mechanisms to manage productivity, quality, and best-in-class processes.
  • Develop, implement, and manage risk-based monitoring rules across geographies and product offerings.
  • Manage vendor relationships supporting operational processes (e.g., transaction monitoring, screening, blockchain monitoring).
  • Leverage technology to automate workflows, improve efficiency, and scale the business.
  • Build and manage a global team responsible for investigations, regulatory filings, and other strategic compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with MLROs, the Head of Financial Crimes Compliance, and cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and others.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and career development for team members.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, efficiency, and collaboration; act as a liaison with regulators, auditors, and external advisors on monitoring and sanctions compliance.

What you will need

  • Minimum of 5 years of AML experience.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, illicit finance and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Experience implementing operational processes in crypto compliance, including blockchain monitoring tools.
  • Comfort working in a global, multi-time-zone environment.
  • Experience driving programmatic and operational efficiencies through data and automation.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Experience querying databases with SQL or using data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills for regulators, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance regulatory compliance with business growth and innovation.
