A leading medical device company in Île-de-France is seeking a Legal Counsel for France. You will be a trusted advisor providing legal support for all business units, especially in commercial law, marketing compliance, and medical device distribution. The ideal candidate is a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in competition and distribution law, and is fluent in French and English. This role offers a significant opportunity to influence business operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lawyer or Legal Counsel.
• Experience in competition and distribution law, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of GDPR is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Act as a legal business partner on commercial law topics.
• Provide legal support for commercial contracts.
• Ensure legal compliance in marketing campaigns.
• Support the Regulatory Affairs team with medical device distribution.
• Define contractual schemes with compliance teams for healthcare professional activities.
• Manage relations with competent authorities and external counsels.
• Conduct ongoing regulatory and legal monitoring.

As part of a new position creation, we are strengthening our global legal team with a new Legal Counsel for France.

Acting as a true business partner, you will be a trusted advisor who serves all Coloplast Business Units and provides proactive legal support to the French legal entities owned by Coloplast, a Danish leader in medical devices.

Under the supervision of the General Counsel Europe & Emerging Markets, and in a daily collaboration with other senior lawyers, the Legal Counsel France operates in a regulated environment (medical device industry and antitrust aspects) and has the main responsibilities to :

• Act as a solution-oriented legal business partner on topics related to commercial law (competition law, distribution, contract law etc.) with a cross-functional and risk-based approach.
• Act as legal support for our Sales force regarding all commercial contracts.
• Collaborate with Marketing and ensure the legal compliance of their campaigns.
• Support the Regulatory Affairs team regarding distribution of medical device on French market.
• Partner with the Compliance team to define and secure contractual schemes to support activities with healthcare professionals on French market.
• Manage external counsels and relations with competent authorities in collaboration with senior lawyers.
• Conduct ongoing regulatory and legal monitoring for activities on French market.

Your Profile_

You are a Lawyer or Legal Counsel with at least 5 years of experience in a law firm or in an international company.

You have a previous practice in competition law and distribution law ideally within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry or in a regulated environment.

A good knowledge of GDPR is a plus.

You seek to understand business levers, are proactive in your suggestions, and know how to handle complex legal issues involving various stakeholders. Your communication is impactful, and you demonstrate pedagogical skills. You are recognized for being completely trustworthy.

You are fluent in French and English - both oral and written - due to daily interactions with stakeholders from all countries.
