Your future missions:

The Airbus Helicopters DOA internal auditor is responsible for providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of governance, internal controls and compliance within the Airbus Helicopters design environment. The role focuses on auditing design assurance systems, regulatory compliance, quality management system and project governance to ensure adherence to aviation authority requirements and organisational standards. You will play a critical role in supporting airworthiness safety and regulatory compliance while identifying risks and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
  • Plan and perform risk‑based internal audits across Airbus Helicopters design functions including engineering, design assurance, certification and project management.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to the design lifecycle from concept and requirements definition through certification and continued airworthiness.
  • Conduct audits in accordance with EASA Part 21 FRA standards and applicable aviation regulations.
Airbus Helicopters Design & Regulatory Audits
  • Assess compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA Part 21J DOA requirements).
  • Audit the Design Assurance System to ensure effective control over design activities, approvals and independent verification.
  • Review compliance with EN 9100 internal procedures and design organisation manuals.
Quality Safety & Risk Management
  • Evaluate controls related to safety, airworthiness, and configuration management.
  • Assess design change management, deviation handling and non‑conformance processes.
  • Identify risks that could impact certification, safety, cost or delivery schedules.
Governance & Control Assessment
  • Review governance structures, roles and responsibilities, and decision‑making authorities within the design organization.
  • Assess the effectiveness of approval processes, technical authority and segregation of duties.
  • Evaluate management oversight and regulatory readiness, certification audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in aviation regulations and industry best practices and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Liaise with engineering, quality, safety, certification and compliance teams.
  • Support regulatory authority audits and customer audits as required.
Your profile
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within an aerospace design organisation with exposure to design assurance and certification activities.
  • Minimum 5 years of auditing experience in aerospace or other safety‑critical industries.
  • Demonstrated experience auditing EASA compliance Design Assurance Systems and quality management systems.
Education & Certifications
  • Strong understanding of aeronautical design lifecycle and certification processes.
  • Solid knowledge of aviation regulations and quality standards (EASA Part 21 FRA, EN 9100).
  • Excellence in analytical, investigative and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with high‑technical stakeholders.
  • High integrity, independence and sound professional judgement.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working in DOA approved organizations.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and design data‑control tools.
  • Experience supporting regulatory or customer audits in an aerospace environment.
