Description du poste
What is the role and company?

We’re hiring a Senior IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Consultant on a freelance contract to support our Financial Performance Systems and Data function. Operating fully remote within the European timezone and available for an immediate start, you’ll help strengthen how we manage financial data, performance insights, and reporting across a diverse, international group.

You’ll work at the intersection of financial modeling, data architecture, and analytic reporting, shaping solutions that enable accurate, timely decision‑making for multiple business units and corporate functions.

What will I be doing?

In this senior consulting role, you will:

  • Shape target designs in IBM Planning Analytics, defining scalable architecture and technical configurations aligned to business needs.
  • Engineer cost allocation engines end‑to‑end, including the creation and optimization of cubes, dimensions, rules, and TurboIntegrator (TI) processes to deliver robust P&L views by entity, business line, and support function.
  • Run discovery workshops with stakeholders, documenting requirements and translating them into actionable technical and data models.
  • Deliver reporting assets using PAfE (customized and dynamic forms) and maintain/enhance Perspectives reports to improve usability and insight.
  • Partner closely with cost management teams throughout the allocation lifecycle, providing expert guidance, validation, and hands‑on support.
  • Strengthen application reliability, triaging issues, refining performance, and implementing enhancements based on systematic analysis of the existing TM1 landscape.
  • Produce clear technical documentation, standards, and procedures to support consistent configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Support and train end users, elevating adoption, data quality, and self‑service reporting across the business.
  • Engage across functions, continuously gathering feedback and iterating TM1 solutions to meet evolving requirements.
What profile will I require?

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • 5+ years of proven experience with IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics, including:
    • TM1 Perspectives, Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), PAfE, TM1 Web
    • Rules, TurboIntegrator scripting, and end‑to‑end architecture/design
  • Strong financial data modeling skills and comfort working with allocation logic and P&L structures.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel; Power BI exposure is a plus.
  • A methodical, detail‑oriented approach with strong organization and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent English; French or German would be advantageous.
  • Availability to work remote within European timezone and start immediately.
Why should I take this role?
  • Impact at scale: Your work will directly influence how the group understands cost, profitability, and performance across multiple entities and functions.
  • Flexibility & autonomy: Enjoy a fully remote freelance engagement with clear outcomes, minimal bureaucracy, and the ability to work efficiently across European hours.
  • Modern tooling: Build with market‑leading IBM Planning Analytics capabilities, shaping architecture and models that are core to our financial decision‑making.
  • Collaborative environment: Partner with finance, FP&A, and cost teams, contributing both hands‑on solutions and strategic guidance.
  • Immediate start: Hit the ground running on meaningful work—no long ramp‑up.
