Position Overview

Ingenico is seeking a Head of Global Communications to shape and elevate the company’s global reputation at a pivotal moment in our transformation. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and based in our Paris HQ, London or Atlanta, this strategic leader will design and drive an integrated communications strategy that strengthens internal alignment, advances our thought leadership agenda, and amplifies Ingenico’s vision of moving commerce forward.

This high-impact role will oversee all facets of global communication‑public relations, media relations, social media, executive visibility, narrative development, and brand positioning and will work hand in hand with internal communications. It requires a forward‑thinking communicator who is collaborative and can unify messaging across the organization.

Working cross‑functionally with Marketing, Security, Product, People & Culture, and other key business teams, the Head of Global Communications will serve as a trusted advisor and steward of Ingenico’s brand. They will craft compelling narratives around innovation, industry leadership, and business strategy, while fostering a cohesive internal culture through clear and consistent communication.

This is a rare opportunity to lead global communications at scale, influencing how Ingenico shows up to employees, customers, partners, media, and the broader market—shaping not just our reputation, but the future of commerce.

Your Key Responsibilities will be
  • Lead the development of an integrated global communications strategy—spanning PR, media, social media, and internal/external messaging—aligned with Ingenico’s brand positioning, values, and business priorities.
  • Ensure a unified global narrative by coordinating closely with cross-functional teams and acting as the central alignment point for regional PR across EMEA, Americas, and APAC.
  • Drive corporate storytelling and thought leadership, shaping narratives around innovation, trust, sustainability, ESG, and key public‑affairs topics.
  • Advance executive visibility and thought leadership, overseeing content development, speaking opportunities, and media engagement for senior leaders.
  • Strengthen internal alignment and communication, partnering with People & Culture and other teams to enhance clarity, transparency, and engagement across global teams.
  • Lead global media relations and manage agency partnerships, with particular emphasis on French and European media due to HQ proximity.
  • Oversee crisis and reputation management, building messaging, protocols, and coordinated responses in collaboration with the Head of Security, who leads overall crisis management.
  • Monitor and optimize communications impact, including media sentiment analysis, performance reporting, and global PR budget management to ensure value and consistency across markets.
  • Manage the global PR agency budget, ensuring value and consistency across regional markets.
  • Support cross‑channel alignment between earned, owned, and shared communications for brand coherence.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 10+ years in corporate communications, public relations, or brand strategy within a global, fast‑paced, matrixed organization.
  • Communications Leadership: demonstrated success leading multi‑regional communication programs that elevate brand visibility, strengthen reputation and drive unified global story telling.
  • Social & Digital Communications Expertise: Strong experience overseeing social media strategy, governance, and content direction to enhance brand engagement and executive visibility.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in both French and English with exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling capabilities; confident and effective in C‑suite interactions.
  • Crisis & Reputation Management: Proven experience managing crisis communications and navigating reputation risk with sound judgment and composure.
  • External Partner Management: Track record in selecting, managing, and optimizing agency and third‑party partnerships across regions.
  • Team, Budget & Performance Leadership: Experience in leading a high performance team and overseeing Media/PR budgets, driving operational efficiencies, and implementing tools to measure ROI and communications effectiveness.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
