Qualifications

  • Strong Linux expertise, including high performance networking.

About the role

You’ll be at the heart of building and optimizing GPU container infrastructure across Europe, working with some of the brightest engineers in the field. This role gives you the chance to shape how AI workloads run at scale in a European cloud environment.

Practicalities
  • Remote role, based anywhere in the EU.
  • For Helsinki-based candidates this role requires presence in our Kamppi office at least 3 days per week.
  • Full-time, permanent contract.
Your responsibilities
  • Build, support, develop, and maintain GPU/accelerator infrastructure.
  • Work closely with teammates, external partners, and upstream communities related to GPU and accelerator infrastructure and driver development.
  • Speed up container runtimes and optimize storage handling on disk.
  • Drive upstream development and actively contribute to relevant open-source communities.
  • Ensure high performance, stability, and scalability of GPU containers across our infrastructure.
Your key competencies
  • 8+ years’ experience in container runtimes, familiarity with CRI
  • Strong Linux expertise, including high performance networking, and container filesystems.
  • Solid GPU experience, especially with NVIDIA drivers.
  • Hands-on experience building, optimizing, and troubleshooting GPU/accelerator infrastructure.
  • Upstream development experience, including familiarity with community processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong organizational ability.
Success criteria for this role in the next 6-12 months
  • Significant reduction in container startup times and improved runtime efficiency.
  • Well-documented, stable GPU container infrastructure used across our platform.
  • Active contributions upstream, strengthening our position in the open-source community.
  • Strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless GPU infrastructure delivery.
