What\'s the role?

We are looking for a data-driven and creative Generative Search Optimisation & Content Marketing Manager to join Hilti\`s global marketing communications team. In this role, you’ll own and develop our organic / AI search strategy. This role bridges content strategy, content performance and user-first thinking to drive organic growth across all digital touchpoints. You will work closely with content, UX, dev, and marketing teams to ensure SEO is integrated into every stage of the digital experience. This is a high-impact role focused on improving visibility, authority, and performance of HILTI in the digital landscape. This role is pivotal in enhancing our organic visibility across multiple markets and languages, ensuring our content resonates with B2B decision-makers and ranks effectively in (AI) search engines.

You will collaborate with regional marketing teams, content creators, and digital specialists to optimize web content for search performance, user intent, and business relevance.

What does the role involve?

Key tasks include :

  • Develop and implement GEO / SEO strategies focused on on-page optimization, content structure, and keyword targeting across global markets aligned with business goals, using insights from analytics, search trends, and industry updates.
  • Conduct international keyword & search intent research and content audits to identify opportunities for organic growth, using state of the art tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Conductor, GSC.
  • Partner with global and local content teams to embed SEO best practices into content creation workflows, optimize existing content for improved search visibility, including metadata, internal linking, and semantic markup.
  • Ensure content aligns with buyer journeys and supports lead generation goals.
  • Monitor and report on organic performance metrics (rankings, traffic, engagement, conversions) across regions and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of search engine algorithm updates and trends in AI-powered search and generative search experiences.
  • Content Optimization & Collaboration: Work closely with content teams to optimize on-page elements, develop topic clusters, and support content calendars with search intent insights.
  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Champion SEO best practices across design, dev, content, and product teams to ensure a unified approach to search performance.

What you need is :

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a strong emphasis on content optimization in a B2B environment, with deep understanding of modern SEO: E-E-A-T, semantic search, and mobile-first indexing
  • Proven success in driving organic growth across international markets.
  • Expertise in SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Conductor, Google Search Console).
  • Experience with CMS platforms and multilingual content management, solid understanding of HTML, CSS.
  • Strong understanding of B2B buyer personas and content strategy.
  • Familiarity with AI search trends and structured data implementation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present SEO data in an actionable way
  • Fluency in English (required for our international environment).
