Catalent reports to the Vice President of Operations for the Biologics segment. The General Manager (GM) will play a leading role in shaping the operational, financial, and strategic performance of the Limoges organization. The GM leads the Limoges Senior Leadership team with Operations, Technical Services, Supply Chain, EHS, site Security, and Continuous Improvement reporting directly, while supporting functions such as Finance, HR, PM PD, Commercial Operations, Procurement, and IT are dotted line reports. The GM will maintain important relationships with functional leaders in the Biologics network, Business Development teams, and peers to assure collaboration across segments.

The Role

• Is responsible for the site EHS, P&L, quality, compliance, operational execution, and administration of the Catalent Limoges business in Limoges.
• Ensures that business operations are efficient and effective, managing resources, distribution of goods and services to customers, and analysis of queue systems to meet customer demand and support P&L objectives.
• Directs the development, growth, and ongoing profitability of the site.
• Works with the BU and functional leaders at global and local levels to develop the annual revenue plan and working budget for the site; establishes budgets, tracks financial performance, and ensures they stay within budget.
• Plans by prioritizing customer, employee, and organizational requirements.
• Establishes and builds effective liaisons/relationships with customers in collaboration with BD and commercial teams.
• Ensures future growth of the site through active involvement with Business Development to develop a pipeline of products/services and to execute growth projects.
• Develops and cascades the organization’s strategy/mission to the site, and implements rewards/recognition and coaching to align personnel with company goals.
• Maintains and monitors staffing levels, knowledge, skills, attributes, expectations, and motivation to fulfill organizational requirements.
• Maintains the plant at the required level to produce in cGMP conditions.
• Ensures operational documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and regulations.
• Drives a culture of continuous improvement through the use of Operational Excellence tools and approaches.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

• Higher degree in science (Biology, Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, etc.); PhD or MSc or relevant experience in a similar position in biotech/Pharma/cell therapy.
• Experience in a cGMP biopharmaceutical environment in an international organization is preferred; a CMO experience is ideal.
• More than 15 years’ experience, preferably in a similar position.
• Demonstrated track record of driving successful change using advanced lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Good technical skills to understand manufacturing processes, including basic knowledge of engineering, chemistry, and microbiology principles.
• Ability to drive results in a lean environment and operate in a competitive leadership position.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Fluency in English & French.
• Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
