Full time Permanent Position: Fire Alarm Technician Assistant

BDR Services Ltd. is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician Assistant to join our team at our Brandon Office.

BDR Services Ltd. specializes in the Supply, Installation, Maintenance, Testing and Repair of Automatic Sprinkler Fire Protection Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Extinguishers, and Kitchen Suppression Systems. Established in 1986, BDR Services Ltd. is a Manitoba based company with offices located in Brandon and Winnipeg. For the past 38 years, BDR has demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment in performing high quality workmanship and providing excellent service to our customers.

The successful candidate will have a positive and professional attitude, be self-motivated and enjoy working in a progressive, fast paced, team environment, with responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Assist with annual fire alarm inspections and testing
  • Assist with troubleshooting and service
  • Assist the technician in servicing and/or repairing of systems
  • Work towards achieving full CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) Certification
  • Other related tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
  • Electrical and/or electronics experience would be an asset
  • Being an apprentice electrician would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver?s license
