Overview

Reporting to the DVP BU Controller, the Finance Director is responsible for leading the financial and administrative management of the organization, ensuring the production of reliable financial and management information, and partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic choices and achieve financial objectives. This role oversees all aspects of financial planning, reporting, compliance, and team development across multiple international entities.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement financial strategies supporting strategic, technological, commercial, and operational projects.
    • Drive the organization to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee general and transaction accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
    • Prepare and submit monthly US GAAP financials in HFM system; ensure conformity with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley, and corporate policies.
    • Supervise consolidation activities for all subsidiaries in EMEAI and Asia, ensuring harmonized accounting and reporting methodologies.
    • Set up and manage recurring forecasting processes, coordinate budgeting, and support strategic planning.
    • Manage cash, FX, loans, and relationships with financial institutions.
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and integrity of financial data.
  • Internal Business Partnership
    • Act as a key business partner to other functions (HR, Operations, Sales, etc.), providing financial advice, recommendations, and support for decision-making.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business performance and achieve organizational goals.
    • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial and operational effectiveness, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls
    • Lead SOX quarterly requirements, such as account reconciliations and key controls.
    • Ensure effectiveness and enforcement of internal control procedures (SOX).
    • Manage compliance with statutory accounting and tax obligations; organize regulatory administrative and legal procedures (corporate law).
    • Responsible for annual statutory audit with external auditors.
  • Credit Control
    • Oversee credit management activities, including collection optimization and risk management.
    • Negotiate guarantee lines and conditions for international credit instruments.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive permanent and sustainable actions to improve processes, eliminate dysfunctions, and suggest improvements.
    • Lead remediation actions as needed.
  • Team Management & Development
    • Manage and develop the accounting/finance team (6–10 FTEs).
    • Support team evolution, skill development, and succession planning.
    • Foster a culture of recognition, engagement, and alignment with company vision and values.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, including supervisory experience in a manufacturing or accounting firm.
  • Experience leading financial teams in an international context, preferably in an Anglo-Saxon corporation.
  • Proven experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with implementation or upgrade of IT tools (ERP, BI).
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, SOX, and local statutory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills in English (C2 level).
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and communication in a matrix organization.
  • Comfortable presenting to executive committees.
  • High level of rigor, organizational skills, autonomy, adaptability, and resistance to stress.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
