Executive Assistant, President’s Office

Temporary, Full-time, Exempt | Reports to Chief of Staff | President’s Office

Overview:
Provide high-level administrative support to the President and Chief of Staff for a temporary period, managing complex calendars, correspondence, travel, and serving as a key liaison with internal/external stakeholders in a dynamic higher education environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage President and Chief of Staff’s calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel.
  • Act as a liaison for senior leadership, trustees, faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
  • Prepare briefing materials, draft correspondence, and maintain organized files.
  • Monitor office budgets, vendor contracts, and supplies; improve administrative workflows.
  • Support office events, projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in senior administrative/executive support roles.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Financial Edge, Workday, Zoom) and ability to learn new systems.
  • Exceptional discretion, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and foster inclusivity.
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to transport guests occasionally.
  • Preferred: Experience in higher education/nonprofit settings and familiarity with board governance.
