Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for Engineering (f/m) to join our company based in Marignane, France.

Quality assurance at the design phase is a key enabler for the success of the development of our products.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer your responsibility is to ensure that the system and product we develop is robust from the very start, and meets quality standards of safety and reliability and authority regulations.

Focus will be on System Engineering and ARP4754 application.

What type of work will you be doing?

Your role is to ensure robustness in the development for existing and next generation of Programs.

  • Adhere to standard for consistency, secure the development in accordance with the regulations to secure delivery of solid engineering solutions.
  • Solve issues quickly to secure delivery of solid engineering solutions.
  • Improve the process continuously to be more resilient.
  • Prevent problems before they arise, secure risk mitigation and learn from previous projects.

In this role you will follow the development of civil and military helicopters and systems with stakeholders, bringing communication between different departments and external authorities. You will directly interact and collaborate with internal departments such as Design Office, DOA management, Innovation, Quality, Manufacturing, as well as with our suppliers.

Main tasks:
  • Preparation and participation of Design Review and ensure process adherence.
  • Preparation and participation of Functional Analysis.
  • Develop Quality documents such as the Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate and interact with various departments and organizations, particularly Helicopter Programs, Chief Engineer, Procurement and certification teams.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
  • Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
  • Good project management and experience in design reviews.
  • Good knowledge in system development processes (V model, functional analysis).
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills and ability to work in an international context with strong networking skills.
  • Knowledge about Lean management is a plus.
  • English: Negotiation level.
  • Studies: Engineering degree.
