Overview

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for Engineering (M/F) to join our company based in Marignane, France.

You will be part of a team developing state-of-the-art helicopters. As part of the Quality Assurance team, you will be involved in Design Office activities aiming at reaching the best level of quality and maturity of our design.

Role and responsibilities

Your role is to ensure robustness in the development for existing and next generation programs.

You will do this through 4 pillars:

  1. Adhere to standards for consistency, secure the development in accordance with regulations to deliver solid engineering solutions.
  2. Resolve issues quickly to secure delivery of solid engineering solutions.
  3. Improve processes continuously to be more resilient.
  4. Prevent problems before they arise, secure risk mitigation and learn from previous projects.

You will follow the development of civil and military helicopters and systems with stakeholders, bringing communication between different departments and external authorities. You will directly interact and collaborate with internal departments such as Design Office, DOA management, Innovation, Quality, Manufacturing, as well as with our suppliers.

Main tasks
  • Act as the main interface and represent the Quality function in front of Chief Engineering. You will coordinate specialists and other team members that might support you (you will be located on the plateau a minimum of 2 days per week).
  • Preparation and participation of Design Reviews and ensure process adherence.
  • Preparation and participation of Functional Analysis.
  • Develop Quality documents such as the Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate and interact with various departments and organizations, in particular with Helicopter Programs, Chief Engineer, Procurement and certification teams.
Qualifications and skills
  • Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
  • Good project management and experience in design reviews.
  • Good knowledge of system development processes (V model, functional analysis).
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to work in an international context with strong networking skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean management is a plus.
  • English: Negotiation level.
