Description du poste

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join Lyons Electric, a subsidiary company of Potawatomi Ventures. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry pricing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary.

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
  • Contact vendors and subcontractors for pricing and bids
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
  • Assist in calculating labor, materials, and equipment costs
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, labor rates, and material costs.
  • Track and document all estimation activities and maintain historical cost data.
  • Identify potential cost risks and provide value engineering options.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Certification from respected electrical program. Bachelor’s or associate degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
