Overview

Director Strategic Partnerships Europe m/f/d • Full-time

Company: Deezer — The Home of Music. Deezer is a French tech company and a leading music streaming platform with a global presence. This role is based in Europe (excl. France) and reports to the leadership team in Partnerships.

Context of the job

Partnerships are a strategic pillar of Deezer’s growth. In Europe (excl. FR), we partner with players such as RTL, Freenet or Vodafone in Germany, T-Mobile in the Netherlands, A1 in Eastern Europe, Yettel in Serbia and Bulgaria. As a Strategic Partnerships Director you will lead the team responsible for these accounts and drive growth across the region.

What you will do
  • Define and drive growth strategy with existing partners in the region.
  • Structure and lead negotiations for partnership renewals as well as major new commercial opportunities with existing partners.
  • Drive the team of Strategic Partner Managers: day-to-day management, engagement and growth.
  • Cultivate positive and trusted relationships with key executive stakeholders within partners to maximize potential and secure long-term relationships.
  • P&L responsibility for the region’s partnerships revenue (forecasting and budget attainment).
  • Secure internal support and approvals for deals across cross-functional teams (Finance, Product, Tech, Legal) by developing business cases and clarifying resource requirements.

  • Manage negotiations and deal structures for major opportunities and renewals.
  • Oversee a team of Partnership Managers and ensure ongoing development.
Qualifications and experience
  • 10+ years of work experience in Strategic Partner Management or Account Management with partners.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of success.
  • Existing network with industry executives.
  • Pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Experience working internationally and across cultures.
  • Fluent English (main working language); other European languages are a plus.
