About Us

My English Sister is a dynamic English language learning and childcare agency based in Lyon, dedicated to nurturing English language development in French children through engaging, personalised lessons and childcare. Every year, we recruit a vibrant team of 20+ English "brothers and sisters" to support local families across the Lyon area.

The Opportunity

We have an opening for a 12-month Digital Marketing Assistant Apprenticeship starting in January 2026. This unique alternance program allows participants to kick‑start their career in France by continuing their higher education (with a fully‑funded Master’s degree) while gaining hands‑on professional experience.

What is an Apprenticeship (Alternance)?

An apprenticeship (alternance) in France allows you to balance work and study, offering the chance to advance your career while earning and learning. You’ll alternate between working in a business role, teaching English to, and taking care of, children, and pursuing a Master’s degree. All while being paid.

What You’ll Do

As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in growing our digital presence. Key responsibilities include:

• Social media management: Craft engaging content and manage our platforms
• Digital content creation: Create compelling content that speaks to our audience
• Data analysis & SEO: Optimise our website and track performance
• Website management: Maintain and update our site

Key Details

• Start Date: 5th January 2025 (contract signed by December 31st)
• Salary: €900/month
• Contract: 35 hours per week, split between:
• 14 hours in a digital marketing role
• 14 hours working with children
• 7 hours studying towards a Master’s degree
• Master’s Degree: Select from one of our online partner universities (iPag, Studi, Académie)
• Benefits: Fully‑funded Master’s degree, 8 weeks of paid holiday, private health insurance

Who We’re Looking For

• Speak fluent English: C2 level proficiency (all nationalities welcome)
• Speak intermediate French: Minimum B1 level
• Have 6 months of experience in France: Whether for study, work, or living
• Be under 26: Must be under 26 years old for the duration of the contract
