Overview
As an important part of the Relais & Châteaux Family, the Delegation Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting regional delegations. The Delegation Coordinator assists the Delegation Director as first person of contact within the Association, ensuring that members understand and use the Association’s services and tools to help Relais & Châteaux hotels and restaurants fully benefit from their membership.
Responsibilities
Delegation support
- Participates in the development and implementation of an action plan and an annual budget for delegations in coordination with its management and the Delegates
- Optimizes members' participation in services, commercial programs, as well as internal and external communication supports
- Supports the delegation director in regular Tools & Services Reviews of members in order to assess and maximize their participation in the services offered by the Association
- Supports members’ technical training activities, including Synxis, Relais & Châteaux Academy and more
- Supports the delegation director in the preparation of the R&C Inductions Days training for its members
- Supports the organization and / or implementation of promotional events at local level as part of the action plan
- Assists in the organization of various delegation events
- Creates monthly newsletters for members to maximize internal communication
- Supports members with R&C recruitment tools, fosters relationships with hotel schools within the delegation, monitors the Relais Team program, and manages R&C partners and suppliers
- Participates in the deployment of the international congress and specific targeted events
- Promotes the "best practices" necessary for the development of the members activity
- Animates the MyRelais pages of the Delegation
- Assists the Delegation Director with all administrative and organizational responsibilities
Qualifications
- A strong passion for the hotel industry
- Commercial or hotel management training
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the upscale hospitality sector or a similar position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interpret project requirements and convey them effectively to team members and third-party providers; strong diplomacy skills
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Flexibility and strong sense of customer service
- Organization and time management skills to manage multiple tasks, sometimes for multiple projects, at once
- Problem-solving abilities to correct any challenges or inefficiencies for the best results
- Attention to detail
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, an affinity for online marketing and AI tools would be an advantage
- Ability to keep calm under pressure
- Native German speaker with excellent English skills; proficiency in French is a plus
- Willingness to travel within the DACHLI region and beyond, as needed
- Home office based position – Residence in Germany or France with availability to travel to Paris HQ & within Europe
