Overview

Data Analyst role on a contract basis with remote working. Reporting to the Principal Data Analyst within the Data, AI and Advanced Analytics Team.

Role Purpose

The Senior Data Analyst is a senior role in the Data, AI and Advanced Analytics Team.

Job Role Responsibilities

• Understand the vision of the business and translate that vision into understandable requirements for data engineers. Interact with business users, subject matter experts, project management, technical development, quality assurance, and end users.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Assist in forecasting and predictive modeling to support strategic planning.
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data queries.
• Understand and document complex business processes in an environment with many Enterprise Applications used by various sectors.
• Collaborate across teams and partner with key stakeholders to drive clarity and effective cross-team collaboration.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis focusing on analytics solutions delivery.
• Collaboration: Ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to benefit customers.
• Communication: Thought leader with executive presence and exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong storytelling with data.

Technical

• Strong understanding of BI concepts (data warehouse, data platform, reports, dashboards).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure artifacts related to Data & AI (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Server, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI, Azure Data Lake).
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server preferred).

Proven ability to capture customer requirements and map them to enterprise systems with technical solutions. Significant experience in data conversions and master data management, including defining, testing, and troubleshooting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne/Oracle EBS data interfaces to 3rd party systems.

Traits: Empathy, curiosity, desire to continually improve, and drive for results. Demonstrated competency in project planning and delivery.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, finance, or equivalent education/experience. 10+ years of experience in a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP or Oracle EBS environment with hands-on experience in finance, capital asset management or procurement modules is required.
