Overview

Description

As a Service Engineer for our process equipment, you will be part of a versatile and dynamic team responsible for both maintaining system at optimal performance and occasionally assisting to install or upgrade new ones. This role requires a broad skill set and the ability to switch seamlessly between different service activities, depending on project and customer needs.

You will work in multicultural environments and collaborate closely with a global network of technical experts. Your day-to-day tasks will demand adaptability, flexibility, and autonomy, as well as strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.

In addition to technical expertise, you must be confident in communicating directly with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the process. The position is based primarily at Grenoble / France area with travel within Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain system performance for process equipment and assist with installation or upgrades as needed.
  • Collaborate with a global network of technical experts in multicultural environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Communicate with customers to understand needs and ensure satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Follow documented best-known methods and document the work performed.
  • Travel within Europe as required; position based primarily in the Grenoble, France area.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Technical degree / diploma in engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years semiconductor industry work experience is a bonus.
  • Panel of competencies in optical, mechanical, electronic, lithography, metrology, and laser technology – is preferable but not necessary.
  • Good level technical & analytical skills, ability to understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronic, optic, mechanical, electro-mechanical or electro-optical systems.
  • Knowledge of computer theory, operating systems i.e. MS Windows.
  • Good interpersonal / communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Available to travel internationally.
