A global transportation solutions provider is seeking an experienced Buyer in Valenciennes. The role involves managing supplier quality, costs, and delivery for project execution. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar industrial environment, preferably in the railway sector. Proficiency in English is mandatory and knowledge of metallic/plastic processes is advantageous.

  • Review supplier selections to secure RFQs and project execution.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage QCD performances.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, and supplier quality.

The Buyer is in charge of supporting the project execution by managing suppliers Quality/Cost/Delivery (QCD) performances. We are looking for our new talent to join our Buyer team within the CDS Interiors (Components Development Site).

Your responsibilities :

  • Review with Commodity Manager supplier selections to secure RFQs (Request For Quotation) and project execution and profitability
  • Track sourcing performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage suppliers QCD performances
  • Work closely with CDS Project Management, Engineering and Supplier Quality to secure the project execution
  • Support the team on Supplier quality and/or Supply Chain issues, Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) management

Knowledge & experience :


Master degree (engineering or business school) with purchasing specialty and a minimum experience of 3 years as Project Buyer in an industrial environment, ideally railway or similar industries. You also have a demonstrated history on supplier negotiation and product schedule management. Technical knowledge on metallic / plastic processes is an asset.

English written and spoken is mandatory.
