Role Overview

Mercor is seeking bilingual English–French professionals to support a translation quality project in collaboration with a prominent AI research group. Experts will evaluate AI-generated French translations for fluency, accuracy, and cultural relevance, specifically reflecting how French is naturally used in France. This project-based opportunity allows contributors to shape the linguistic quality of next-generation AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Review French translations for fluency, naturalness, and alignment with local usage in France
• Identify mistranslations, tone issues, or awkward phrasing
• Suggest improvements to better reflect idiomatic and contextually appropriate language
• Provide structured linguistic feedback on phrasing, clarity, and regional norms
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy and speed when reviewing content

Ideal Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in both French and English
• Deep familiarity with French as spoken and written in France
• 1+ year of experience in translation, localization, or editorial review
• Strong attention to linguistic detail and cultural nuance
