🌍 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead direct sales efforts of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) targeting Utility clients and large-scale power plant projects. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the energy sector and a proven track record of direct sales (not channel / distributor) in the Utility landscape.

🧩 Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop direct sales opportunities for BESS solutions in Utility-scale projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts such as grid operators, energy developers, and EPCs
  • Lead bid processes and commercial negotiations
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulatory updates
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams for solution proposals
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions and forums
🎯 Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Utility-side energy sales or business development
  • Solid understanding of BESS, energy storage, grid integration
  • Direct sales experience required – not via distributors or channels
  • Excellent communication and commercial negotiation skills
  • Engineering background preferred (Electrical, Energy, Automation)
  • Open to travel
💼 Preferred Background
  • Previously worked at Utility / Energy companies
  • Hands-on Utility project exposure (e.g., with grid companies, IPPs, EPCs)
