Description

Upway is on a mission to make e-mobility accessible to everyone. We source the best e-bikes from B2B partners, refurbish them in our UpCenters, and deliver them seamlessly to their next owner. Backed by leading investors such as Sequoia Capital and Global Founders Capital, we are scaling fast across Europe and North America.

We’re now looking for a B2B Business Developer for Italy to help us grow our network of partners and build the largest, highest-quality e-bike offering in the market.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in Upway’s launch and growth in Italy, acting as the face and voice of the company in the market.

You’ll be responsible for building our image, driving awareness, and establishing Upway as the trusted partner for e-bikes in Italy.

1. Develop a network of bike stores

  • Build and expand a nationwide network of retailers offering trade-in solutions to their customers.
  • Train stores to use our trade-in tool, providing instant valuations and guaranteed purchase commitments from Upway.
  • Help stores offer attractive vouchers to customers for their next new bike.
  • Expect to spend 3–4 days per week on the road during the first year to establish this network.

2. Collaborate with leasing and rental companies

  • Negotiate buy-back agreements with leasing and rental players.
  • Secure a steady flow of used e-bikes into our pipeline after 2–3 years of use.

3. Partner with brands

  • Acquire demo and test bikes directly from e-bike brands.
  • Identify co-marketing opportunities to promote trade-in and buy-back services.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Native Italian speaker (must be), fluent in English.
  • 3–8 years’ experience in Sales, Purchasing.
  • You are preferably based in Northern Italy, closer to the country’s main e-bike market
  • Strong negotiation skills — you can convince any partner to work with us.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & spoken)
  • Autonomous, driven, and hands-on.
  • Passion for the cycling industry is a big plus!
