  • High level of competency in the use of Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.

Main duties and responsibilities

The purpose of the Automation Tech's position is to assist in all aspects of electrical maintenance, installation, testing, and improvements & modifications of production and support equipment. The position also assists in leading the electrical maintenance group to maximize production capabilities through minimizing downtime.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or similar field of study OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to teach others both in person and via tele-conference
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of competency in the use/understanding of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and communication protocols; knowledge of visualization (ex. Wonderware, PanelView, etc.)
  • Preferred candidates have experience in wood panel processing.
  • This is an on-call, 24/7 position.
