Rudman Winchell, a general practice law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney specializing in Civil Litigation to join our busy legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling civil litigation cases, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch legal representation to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
  • Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
  • Provide exceptional client service, including regular communication and updates on case progress
  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Maine
  • Experience in civil litigation
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and client confidentiality
  • Ability to travel to private and public buildings locally and statewide via private or public conveyance to attend to client needs on legal matters
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week as necessary
