We have an exciting new role for a commercial / IT / IP lawyer to mainly support Adobe business in Southwest Region (Italy, France, Spain and Portugal). The successful candidate's primary objective will be to act as advisor to and interface and collaborate with all levels of our sales community in all countries of Southwest Region and functions within the organization (including the marketing and finance groups) and working with other members of the Legal team. As Adobe is growing fast there is also ample opportunity to help shape some of the new systems (AI CLM knowledge sharing automation) and working processes with other teams to help the legal team scale for the future.

As you can see, lots of variety and opportunities for growth at Adobe. The position is currently hybrid (minimum of 3 days a week in the office) with our offices located in Paris, France.

What youll do

  • Supporting Adobe business in Southwest Region (role based in Paris).
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of cloud services and software, professional services and other commercial agreements and documents including sales and licensing agreements as well as DPAs, statements of work, resale, distribution and consulting agreements.
  • Implementing and supporting adoption of new technologies (including AI) to improve and replace process and workflows.
  • Providing general commercial legal support to the various business units of Southwest region and preparing training in-house when appropriate on key legal areas of interest.
  • Supporting the other team members and cooperating and working closely with other legal teams across EMEA and Latin America.
  • Monitoring and advising on regulations and legislation that will impact our business including AI, FSI and consumer regulations and legislation.
  • Participation in knowledge management and process improvement activities within EMEA.
  • Providing legal support to working groups as projects and new work practices are being developed within the business.
  • Providing ongoing support to the business on key risks.

What youll need to succeed

  • This role is for a Paris-based lawyer with a strong interest in technology and with proven academic background who has trained and qualified with a reputable law firm or in-house department of a comparable company (2-4 years of experience).
  • Proficient English and French. Ability to speak another EU language (mainly Spanish and Italian) being a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in Commercial / IT / IP as well as data protection and artificial intelligence issues good business sense essential (mandatory).
  • Experience working effectively across business units and internal functions to efficiently resolve business issues.
  • The candidate must be a technology early adopter with a mindset to improve and accelerate process and workflows with the use of technology including AI.
  • The candidate must be a great teammate able to self-start and collaborate with other team members as well as having a positive problem solving and business focused attitude with confidence to prioritize workload appropriately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to be a business partner and practical yet creative problem-solving approach that emphasizes addressing business needs while protecting Adobes interests.
  • Good communication, drafting and technical skills are essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage different internal stakeholders as well as identify and manage risks.
  • International mindset and approach.
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly.
