As our Associate Engineering Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Leading and managing a team of engineers in the development of smart card and RFID readers
  • Acting as the Product Owner, defining product vision, roadmap, and requirements in collaboration with Product Management
  • Conducting code reviews and provide technical guidance in C/C++
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Driving continuous improvement in development processes and practices
  • Mentoring and supporting team members in their professional growth
  • Working closely with key stakeholders from multiple departments to meet business objectives

Your Experience and Background
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and at least 4 years of hands-on development and/or testing experience
  • Experience in using agile processes and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Improvement)
  • Proven experience in firmware development and strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role
  • Strong team-building skills and teamwork orientation; ability to coach, mentor and lead by example
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Positive attitude with a tendency toward action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Promote secure development and be able to work cooperatively and autonomously in a dynamic multi-cultural environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with operating environments such as Windows, Linux and VMWare
  • Experience with IDEs and source code management tools
  • Smart Card ISO7816 and RFID ISO 14443/15693 protocols
