An aquatic facilities management organization in Nouvelle-Aquitaine seeks a responsible individual to oversee staff payroll, supervise employees, and handle marketing for the aquatic center. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field, with relevant certifications. The role involves teaching swim lessons and ensuring safety standards are upheld. This position includes both indoor and outdoor work during varied weather conditions.
This position is responsible for reporting staff payroll; supervising employees; makes hiring recommendations; conducts performance appraisals; arranges employees work schedules. Responsible for all programming and marketing of the facility.
Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation, Leisure Management, or related field is required. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with two years of experience or service. Lifeguard Certifications, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO), Lifeguard Training Certification (LGT), First Aid, CPR and AED for adults, children and infants are required. Valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment required.
The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, walking or climbing a ladders. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects up to twenty-five pounds; uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity; must be able to distinguish between shades of color and utilize sense of smell. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
The work is typically performed in an office, library, computer room Aquatic Center or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to loud noise, dust, machinery with moving parts, and irritating chemicals. The work may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
