A leading educational institution is seeking an Administrative Support Staff to handle clerical tasks, maintain confidentiality, and assist in the Health Sciences programs. This role involves managing office technology, maintaining files, and providing support to faculty and students. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills and effective communication ability, with preferences for prior clerical experience in healthcare settings.
Responsible for performing and accomplishing moderately complex secretarial and clerical tasks for the Health Sciences programs at the DSCC Henry County Center. Assist students with basic program information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working Conditions :
Sedentary: Desk work; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other then normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to communicate well in oral and written English.
Qualities of integrity, initiative, and good judgment with high ethical standards.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals and/or groups.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Computer skills in Word and Excel.
Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience:
High School/GED graduate.
Minimum of two years clerical experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree.
Experience working with Healthcare Individuals.
Three years of clerical work with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Minimum starting pay is $28,400 annually ($14.57 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum of $34,100.
