Job description : We seek a motivated Lab Technician to support daily lab tasks and ongoing research projects. Candidates should have a background in biochemistry or related fields, with significant lab management experience preferred. Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and dedication to research are essential.

The institute : The Translation Control and Cancer Stem Cells laboratory is part of the Physiological Sciences department at the University of Barcelona, located at Bellvitge campus, near IDIBELL, Bellvitge Hospital, and CMRB, offering a multidisciplinary scientific environment with advanced infrastructure.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training on equipment use.
• Manage lab inventory, supplies, and reagents.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and assist in developing protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.

Skills / Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant lab experience in molecular biology or related fields.
• Ph.D., B.Sc., or M.Sc. considered an asset but not mandatory.
• Team-oriented, eager to learn, and engaged in discussions.
• Experience with mice models is a plus.
