Job Description
  • Req#: DPDHGLOBAL25004OFEXTERNALENGLOBAL – Maintaining the aircraft fleet EAT/DHA/DHK/ASL to ensure safe, stable, and punctual operations through both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities during ground times, maximizing aircraft reliability and operational efficiency while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conducts general repair and maintenance on systems of aircraft and aircraft parts of one type of aircraft (type rating) within the internally determined qualification.
  • Analyzes defects and faults, evaluates error logs, and resolves issues by replacing parts or fluids, and installing aircraft components.
  • Checks operability of control units, landing gear, hydraulic systems, deicer, and powerplant within the applicable type rating.
  • Adheres to the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME), and relevant documentation from the Type Certificate (TC) holder, as well as other regulatory and compliance documents to ensure ongoing airworthiness and safety.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of completed tasks, including records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to comply with regulatory standards and track aircraft maintenance history.
  • Checks and releases aircraft after maintenance on structure, engine, and mechanical systems within the appropriate type rating.
  • Performs Category A maintenance tasks on aircraft and components, ensuring regulatory compliance and contributing to overall fleet safety and airworthiness.
  • Communicates effectively with the flight crew after landing and before each flight to convey necessary information for safe and efficient operations.
  • Communicates with EAT MCC, MOC, and troubleshooting department to provide ongoing updates about technical situations during maintenance and AOG situations.
  • Provides support to station management for efficient shipping and receiving of parts and tools, and ensures proper inventory management to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensures all equipment is maintained in a usable and safe condition through regular inspections, proper handling, and timely repairs.
  • Reports any irregularities during operations to station management following Safety Management System (SMS) protocols to address safety concerns promptly and maintain compliance.
  • Contributes ideas to enhance station performance and efficiency and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic or related field, with a 'Certifying Staff' license in accordance with EASA Part 66 AML CAT B1, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of one relevant type rating from the company is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the maintenance of wide-body aircraft.
  • Previous experience working at outstations is highly desirable.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
  • Meticulous and precise with attention to detail; committed to goals and able to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work and weekends, and to take extra duty during AOG.
  • Willingness to travel for training, maintenance work at other stations, and AOG repairs.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Trax & AIMS); AMOS knowledge is a plus.
