Mediterranean Parts and Field Service is on the lookout for a motivated Technical Expert 4 Stroke (m / f) to join our dynamic Technical Services team in Valencia, Spain.

As a Technical Expert 4 Stroke, you'll be the go-to person for both internal and external customers, addressing all operational technical inquiries related to Wärtsilä Engines and their control systems. Your expertise will shine in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these engines.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Technical Expert 4 Stroke, your work will focus on these responsibilities :

• Manage complex technical and operating problems of the customer and internal stakeholders to reach quality with on-time support and to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in customer and / or vendor meetings as an engine expert, when complex technical matters are handled
• Perform troubleshooting and technical field investigations and screening of field service reporting.
• Visit sites when deeper product, system and / or performance analysis is needed
• Analyse field experience and customer feedback data to improve the products and solutions as well as operation and maintenance of the installation.
• Make complex analysis with adequate conclusions and recommendations (reports)
• Be responsible for handling Technical Requests received from customers.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education.

Extensive experience with Wärtsilä engines; experience with non-Wärtsilä engines is a plus.

Experience in a service support role, particularly with Wärtsilä products, including field service and engineering.

Genuine interest and motivation to work with 4-stroke engines.

Commitment to safety in all aspects of your work.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

A true team player with a proactive approach and technical reporting skills who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results.

A positive mindset and openness to learning new things.

Service-minded attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.

Ready to travel occasionally as needed.
