Sr Staff Product Marketing Manager - Competitive Intelligence and Response

Europe – Remote

This role can be based at an Illumina European hub including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain.

The Role

The Sr. Staff Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence and Response, will play a pivotal role in defining and executing strategies to effectively drive adoption and utilization of our platforms and position our products against competitors in the marketplace. We seek a seasoned commercial professional with strong domain knowledge, technical acumen, and the ability to develop compelling positioning and messaging, leading cross-functional programs to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Competitive Analysis & Monitoring: Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors, their products, positioning strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market tactics. Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to inform our positioning strategy.
  2. Market Research: Stay abreast of market trends, customer preferences, and industry developments to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
  3. Positioning and Response Strategy: Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to develop and refine product positioning strategies that differentiate our offerings. Ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  4. Messaging Development: Work with marketing and communications teams to craft compelling messaging and value propositions that articulate the benefits of our products compared to competitors. Develop tailored messaging frameworks for various audiences and channels.
  5. Content Creation: Support sales enablement with materials, presentations, and case studies to promote awareness and adoption.
  6. Sales Enablement: Equip and support the sales team with tools, training, and resources to effectively communicate our value proposition, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with marketing initiatives.
