As a Software Engineer working on Bitpanda’s flagship broker platform, you’ll drive the evolution of one of Europe’s leading investing and trading experiences. You’ll architect and deliver highly‑performant, secure, and scalable systems that support everything from everyday investing to advanced crypto and trading features. Your decisions will shape how millions of users interact with digital assets helping make complex financial products feel simple, fast, and trustworthy.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable, resilient, message‑driven services using Java as a programming language
• Write clean and correct code with high test coverage and extensive testing
• Contribute to conversational development, disseminating information to the rest of the team
• Optimise systems to ensure reliability, performance, scalability and maintainability
• Guide and mentor other team members

Who you are

• Strong knowledge and experience in software development with Java 17+
• Knowledge of both relational and non‑relational databases, preferably Postgres
• Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs
• Practical knowledge in using message‑oriented middleware (Kafka)
• Knowledge of PHP an advantage
