The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance, and security of the company’s infrastructure services, systems, and networks.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Wi-Fi, LAN / WAN, VPN, VLANs, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and conduct network tuning.
- Install, configure, and manage servers and services both in the cloud and on-premises.
- Evaluate new software releases, system upgrades, and patches.
- Maintain and monitor system configurations to ensure data and configuration integrity.
- Operate with the goal of having a reliable, efficient, and scalable infrastructure using configuration as code methodologies.
- Collaborate across departments to evolve system standards company-wide.
- Document and automate daily tasks.
- Participate in large system and subsystem planning.
- Provide 3rd level support, including problem isolation and resolution.
- Stay updated on current methodologies, technology trends, and tools relevant to the company.
- Support and guide team members to foster their professional growth, following supervisor and lead guidance.
Requirements
- Professional Experience : 5+ years in IT departments.
- Qualifications and Skills :
- Strong understanding of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Experience with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
- Configuration and administration of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Understanding of cloud networking (OCI, AWS, Azure Virtual Network).
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards (Ethernet, fiber optics).
- Experience with process automation and deployment.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX), virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud), storage (SAN, NAS, RAID), and backup / disaster recovery processes.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with high availability systems.
- Experience in virtualization and deployment processes.
- Experience in the 3D animation sector is a plus.
- Recommended certifications : Cisco CCNA / CCNP.
Language Requirements
- Medium-high level of English required.
- Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.
