Job Title

Senior Software Development Engineer

Overview

The Travel Ready product is at the heart of our mission to transform the traveler’s experience in airports across the world. Developed by our Mobile & Digital Identity Engineering group, the product enables a seamless identity journey, connecting passengers, airlines, airports, and border control systems via a secure and privacy-first Digital ID platform.

This is not just another Android developer job. As part of our cross-functional and highly collaborative team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to design and develop state-of-the-art components that are trusted by leading companies and used by millions of users worldwide. Your work will directly impact real-world problems such as airport congestion, traveler verification, and seamless boarding, creating smarter solutions for modern challenges. You’ll have ownership, technical freedom, and the opportunity to shape architecture decisions, while collaborating with backend, SDK, and product teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on development and coaching teammates to grow and improve.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications and SDKs for the Android platform;
• Lead and contribute to architecture and design discussions;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies to define, design, and ship new features;
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, testing strategies, mentoring and documentation;
• Advocate for and implement modern design patterns and best practices;
• Take initiative on performance optimization, improve documentation quality;
• Ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality code delivery;
• Support product discovery and early prototyping with UX and Product teams.

About You

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 3yrs experience designing and developing native Android (Kotlin);
• Strong and clear understanding of Android App’s lifecycle, development tools;
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, performance tools and optimization techniques.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming;
• Experience working with secure storage solutions such as EncryptedSharedPreferences and implementing data encryption;
• Creative thinking, analytical skills, with attention to detail;
• Team-player that is positive, proactive and a motivated self-starter.
• Fluent in English.

Desirable

• You care deeply about the craft of software development and stay on top of emerging technologies and best practices;
• Experience with SDK development, ML Kit, Push notifications.
• Continuous Integration/Deployment tools and processes;
• Experience in Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA & Confluence);
• Experience with version control tools like Gitlab, Git.
