This role involves designing, automating, and securing global cloud operations while ensuring reliability and performance. Candidates should have strong expertise in OpenStack, Terraform, Ansible, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Relocation support is available for candidates residing in the EU.

Opportunity to join a fast-growing data center hosting provider building a fully automated OpenStack cloud infrastructure, with a mission to deliver industry-first, end-to-end data sovereignty solutions.

As part of their expanding DevOps team, they’re searching for an experienced Platform Engineer to take ownership of designing, automating, and securing their global cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability and scalability across their OpenStack environments.

In this role, you’ll build and maintain scalable OpenStack infrastructure, automate systems with Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps principles, and drive containerised workloads using Proxmox, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.

You’ll also take responsibility for monitoring, logging, and cloud security, ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical services. CI / CD optimisation and proactive troubleshooting will be key parts of the role.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable OpenStack infrastructure
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps principles
• Manage containerised environments on Proxmox / Kubernetes using Helm and ArgoCD
• Build and maintain robust CI / CD pipelines
• Set up and optimise Datadog monitoring systems
• Participate in the on-call rotation for incident response

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with OpenStack
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and / or Ansible)
• Scripting skills in Python
• Cloud-native tooling experience (Proxmox, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD)
• Monitoring and logging setup (Datadog, Elastic Stack)
• CI / CD pipeline experience, ideally using GitLab
• Strong grasp of secure cloud operations and system hardening
