ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Platform Engineer under the Cloud Computing team, your primary objective will be to support the evolution of our infrastructure. You will provide the appropriate support to meet the product development needs by ensuring homogeneity, supporting CI / CD pipelines, and developing our cloud infrastructure. Balancing project execution and service support will be a key challenge in this role. As part of a Platform Squad, you will collaborate closely with the rest of product delivery Engineering Teams at RavenPack.

This role offers a hybrid work environment in our Marbella or Madrid office.

YOUR RAMP-UP JOURNEY

In your first month, you will become fully acquainted with the infrastructure concepts at RavenPack and begin to work autonomously on project execution. You will engage in cloud infrastructure development using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) while gaining a solid understanding of our systems and processes.

After six months, you will have successfully architected and deployed cloud infrastructure solutions, demonstrating your ability to contribute significantly to our team and projects. Your expertise will enhance our operational efficiency and support the overall objectives of the Cloud Computing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will lead the development of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring robust and scalable architectures are implemented.
• Architect and deploy cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business and support product development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in AWS, demonstrating a strong understanding of cloud services and best practices.
• Experienced in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to automate and streamline cloud deployments.
• Familiar with Python for scripting and automation tasks in a cloud environment.
• Knowledgeable in networking concepts essential for cloud infrastructure management.
• Proficient in Docker, enabling efficient containerization of applications and services.

DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure provisioning, enhancing deployment efficiency.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices to streamline CI / CD pipelines and facilitate fast-paced delivery.
• Background in Platform Engineering to support and optimize cloud environments.
• Experience with Azure and / or GCP to broaden cloud service expertise.
