Overview

Turner & Townsend is engaged in supporting our clients with complex projects, focusing on cost management and project delivery. We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to act as the primary interface with clients, driving projects toward successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans.
  • Estimate costs at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Manage pre- and post-contract duties such as preparing cost estimates, procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
  • Assist with feasibility studies and procurement reports.
  • Handle procurement processes, including managing pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contractual documentation.
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes, escalating major changes as needed.
  • Manage cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering, negotiate, and approve final accounts.
  • Maintain communication with clients and consultants throughout project stages.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and report to line managers.
  • Suggest improvements to cost management procedures and tools.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services across the project lifecycle.
  • Experience in MEP construction, industrial, pharma, manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant field.
  • Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex construction projects.
  • Advisory experience in value management, value engineering, and lifecycle costing.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
