Senior Manager - Planning & Logistics GTR (6 months Secondment)

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

You will be responsible for developing a Demand and Supply Strategy along with an optimized inventory strategy for the global travel retail to meet sales and service objectives. Through the S&OP process, develop, implement, and influence best practices in the disciplines of forecasting and inventory management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our Consumer at the Heart your key focus will be …

Strategic Operations
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategy for global travel retail to achieve effective management of the product supply
  • Ensure that the Marketing & Sales business team reach agreement on Sales Operation and Plan on a monthly and rolling 18 months basis, maintain 24 months visibility
  • Engage with Marketing, Sales and Retailers to continuously update the requirement specifications and improve the planning and Customer Services processes accordingly.
  • Monitor customer orders to ensure they are fulfilled and deliver with an adequate level of service
  • Ensure cross functional alignment and business ownership at multiple levels
  • Develop business reports into Business Intelligence tool
  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relations with internal/external organizations: motivate and encourage direct reports and Primos working in a team environment to achieve functional, and company goals
Demand Planning
  • Manage the Demand process to ensure that plans are established, monitored and reviewed to ensure efficient and timely distribution of products worldwide and drive an optimized response
  • Own and lead the S&OP process meetings with GTR regions
  • Assist the monthly S&OP supply review meetings with the plants
  • Build visibility between financial target and volume sales plan and support the financial team in the financial cycle.
  • Support and mentor the regional demand planners to ensure continuous improvement regarding tool utilization and data accuracy through and people development
  • Resolve short/medium term supply constraints (ex. quality, technical…) to deliver product (Finished goods, Value Added Pack) on the agreed basis
  • Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, markets’ trends, seasonality, promotions).
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, ensuring forecasting processes and methods are followed.
  • Support regional GTR forecast and inventory planning meetings, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory projections and goals (emphasis on brand transitions, new product introduction, and promotions).
  • Have detailed knowledge of supply planning, master production scheduling, inventory control, capacity requirements planning
  • Develop best practice sharing within the regional planning community by proactively facilitating, re-engineering, best practices
Portfolio and Inventory Management
  • Establish policies, targets and control for finish goods and POSM inventories for the GTR based on regional guidelines and demand planning input
  • Implement and maintain the process to prevent and monitor write-offs including action plans for reduction and control improvement.
  • Minimize excess and non-performing inventory
  • Define SKU rationalization initiatives
Innovation
  • Cooperate closely with the Innovation and Marketing GTR team on the design and development of an effective Innovation process with the aim of reducing supply chain complexity, increase supply reliability and flexibility.
  • Coordinate commercialization of innovations ensuring launch on time and pipeline stock
Budget and cost management
  • Build and monitor GTR distribution cost budget and expenses (Logistics, Warehousing, distribution, overheads)
  • Drive value – ensure process becomes balanced, dynamic and event driven
  • Define opportunities to create value and/or reduce cost across the entire end-to-end Supply Chain
  • Optimize the distribution network from plant to customers in order to ensure adequate level of services at the best cost
People and Organization
  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relations with internal/external organizations: motivate and encourage direct reports and Primos working in a team environment to achieve functional, and company goals
  • Plan and direct advancement in functional excellence by assessing criteria for excellence, determining core functional competencies, conducting frequent performance discussions, and participating in the recruitment of relevant positions in planning and customer service
  • Foster an environment that advances team members through effective coaching, professional development, and succession planning

  • A career in international operations where in-depth knowledge of planning, forecasting, warehousing and logistics has been gained in sectors such as FMCG, high tech, pharmaceuticals or organizations recognized for their supply chain functional excellence

What are the stages of an interview process?

The first step is submitting your application which will be reviewed by our Hiring Team. Should your experience meet the qualifications and expectations of the open role, you will begin the interview process. Generally speaking, you can expect a few stages of conversations. The timing of the interview process will vary and our focus will be on ensuring that the key stakeholders get to know you and that you get to know us. You will be expected to do a face‑to‑face interview in person or over video call in some cases, at least once, during the hiring process.
