We’re engaged with a reputable insurance firm and are searching for a Senior Underwriter to join their Custom Market Facing Team. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting new business and managing portfolio renewals within the scope designated by the Head of Line of Business. You will also play a key role in supporting sales initiatives and fostering strong relationships with brokers to ensure the achievement of financial goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee new business submissions, issue quotes, and manage policy amendments while providing authority to underwriters.
• Monitor non-tacit renewals, issue renewal proposals, and support portfolio performance analysis.
• Assist Business Developers in sales initiatives, foster relationships with brokers, and grow a knowledgeable producer network.
• Collaborate across departments, ensuring adherence to personal authority limits and technical guidelines while developing team talent.
• Participate in product launches, marketing campaigns, and other innovation initiatives.
• Stay updated on compliance and procedural changes to ensure all activities align with laws and regulations.
• Provide reports to the Head of Line of Business and Head of Custom.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting the line of business.
• Desire to work towards relevant professional qualification.
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize.
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Business level English (B2 or higher) and Spanish proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Law, Economics, Business Administration or similar).
