Job Summary

This position is responsible for creating and executing Demand Plans that support the company’s sales goals and strategies. Building collaborative relationships across sales, marketing, and supply chain teams is critical to success. The Sr Demand Planner will support the manager in establishing the best Demand Plan, both monthly for the mid to long term (typically 18 months out) and weekly for the next 2-3 months.

The role requires strong business-data analysis skills to understand relevant factors influencing demand and to challenge assumptions with commercial and marketing teams. The position also involves communicating sales projections to Finance and continuously improving demand forecasting accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Generate volume and value forecasts through the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, incorporating sales, marketing intelligence, historical sales data, and business consensus.
2. Coordinate and maintain demand planning databases and systems, applying statistical models based on historical patterns and horizons.
3. Prepare and distribute demand planning reports supporting business operations.
4. Analyze KPIs such as forecast accuracy, customer service levels, stock-on-hand, and waste, highlighting gaps and proposing actions.
5. Document and review demand assumptions, engaging in continuous improvement efforts.
6. Manage demand changes during the frozen period, aligning with business and supply planning teams.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (MSc in Engineering or similar), 5+ years in supply chain, at least 3 in Demand Planning, experience with SAP, Manugistics, or APO, mastery of Excel, APICS certification is a plus.

Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, collaborative mindset, understanding of supply chain principles, willingness to learn, proficiency in English, additional European languages are assets, ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
