Overview

Our company seeks a talented Data Migration Specialist to join our team of experts in the insurance industry. This role will be pivotal in designing and implementing efficient ETL processes for data migration and integration across core insurance systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with leading ETL tools, strong SQL skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions. They will work closely with Business Analysts, Data Architects, and Technical Leads to translate complex business requirements into scalable and high-performance ETL solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to support data migration and data integration from legacy systems to modern core insurance platforms.
• Analyze source system data to understand structures, relationships, and quality issues across insurance-related domains such as policies, claims, billing, and customer information.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Architects to interpret data mapping specifications and convert business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
• Implement complex data transformations, cleansing routines, and validation rules to ensure high-quality and consistent data in the target environment.
• Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test plans for ETL workflows, including unit testing, integration testing, and support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Optimize ETL performance for handling large volumes of insurance data and ensure scalability and efficiency of the data pipeline.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues, discrepancies, and ETL performance bottlenecks across different phases of the project.
• Build and maintain stored procedures, views, and advanced SQL queries to support both migration and reporting needs.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an ETL Developer (typically 3–5+ years)
• Proficiency in one or more leading ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and relational database design
• Advanced SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and validation across various RDBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL)
