• Más de 10 años construyendo software en producción como Data Engineer.
• Fluidez en Español e Inglés.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar e implementar pipelines de datos y microservicios.
• Servir como referencia técnica principal en la organización.
• Mentorar equipos de ingeniería y fomentar la innovación.
• Evaluar y adoptar herramientas y arquitecturas de vanguardia.
• Definir la orquestación y la hoja de ruta de la infraestructura de datos.
• Impulsar iniciativas estratégicas a nivel arquitectónico.

Conocimientos

Construcción de API con Python (FastAPI) o TypeScript

SQL (MariaDB)

NoSQL (MongoDB)

Arquitecturas basadas en eventos (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

We’re seeking Principal Data Engineers to join our Data team. What you will do

• Design and implement data pipelines, microservices, and information architecture powering intelligent agents to fight disinformation and fake news.
• Serve as the main technical reference across the organization, making executive‑level decisions to ensure that our data infrastructure aligns with and supports business objectives.
• Mentor engineering teams and guide other technical leaders, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Evaluate 및 adopt cutting‑edge tools, methodologies, and architectures based on market trends and internal needs, ensuring solutions with long‑lasting, cross‑project impact.
• Define orchestration and roadmap for the company’s entire data infrastructure, setting the foundation for scalable and reliable systems.
• Shape the long‑term technical vision and strategy for our data ecosystem, integrating with broader business goals.
• Drive strategic initiatives at the architectural level, establishing standards, governance policies, and best practices across the organization.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: +10 years building production‑grade software in roles such as Data Engineer.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Language: Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Bonus: Experience in scale‑ups.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in building API endpoints using Python (FastAPI) or TypeScript.
• Expertise in SQL (MariaDB), NoSQL (MongoDB) and columnar databases.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, etc.).
• Proven experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data quality and governance best practices.
• Knowledgeable about modern data architecture patterns (e.g., data mesh, medallion architecture).
• Familiar with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory.
