YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

Within the Commercial Finance team, you are responsible for the overall financial steering of your scope of country(s) / business area(s) from top to bottom line, monitoring independently its performance vs financial targets:

• Owning the forecasting and planning process for your scope.
• Monitoring and reporting on the actual performance in comparison with budget / forecast on a weekly and monthly basis, and staying agile in the financial steering in order to meet financial targets.
• Setting up efficient processes that allow to hold key stakeholders accountable for the financial impact of their actions and decisions.
• Being the principal point of contact regarding all financial questions and developments for your scope.

You are a key sparring partner to local and central management regarding investment decisions for your markets as well as business opportunities in terms of growth, monetization and efficiency:

• Consulting them on what’s driving the business and what levers to pull to increase performance.
• Evaluating the investment level based on your knowledge of the market and the involvement it will have on the budget allocated to your scope.
• Challenging operational and marketing teams on their investment decisions in awareness of both market and overall company interests.
• Supporting business decisions through financial analysis and business casing.

You’ll take an active role in shaping the positioning of the Commercial Finance team within the organization:

• Participating in and maintaining the strong network to other functions within the headquarter and within the local markets.
• Taking part in further development of our existing tool kit for steering the business.
• Taking ownership for transversal projects with internal stakeholders.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• You’ve got a degree in the fields of Economics or any other field of academia + a corresponding advanced financial education.
• You’ve >3 years of professional experience in the fields of Consulting, Private Equity, Controlling or Operations with strong financial focus.
• During that time, you achieved a proven track record of driving business performance through executing your commercial mindset.

Your skillset:

• You’ve an intuitive understanding of what drives a business model in a given market and the ability to validate this using commercial data within Excel and Google Sheets.
• You feel comfortable working collaboratively with many other stakeholders from different departments, challenging them on their positions and defending your interests and thoughts while committing to the final decisions.
• You’re adapting quickly to new situations and bring natural curiosity to understand market specific challenges and potential solutions.
• You’re able to communicate complex ideas effectively in English; any other European language is a plus.
• You’re a team player who is comfortable working in cross-cultural teams.
