As our Senior Scientist, you will lead projects developing our future intumescent products. Responsibilities include planning experiments, coordinating external testing for certifications, and collaborating with laboratory technicians and scientists.

This role is based in our Passive Fire Protection R&D Centre of Excellence in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, near Barcelona, Spain. Our new office and laboratories provide a great environment for product development. We also offer flexible work policies to promote work-life balance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Segment & Product Management, to enhance our PFP product range and position Hempel's Passive Fire Protection segment as a market leader. This is an opportunity to influence the future success of our R&D area.

What does it take to become our new team member?

• University degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience in developing paints and coatings; experience with intumescent paints is a plus but not mandatory.
• Project and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
